The ghoul is a single-minded undead nightmare. A walking mass of decay and putrid flesh, the ghoul exists only to destroy the living. Its primary sustenance is corpses, so ghouls are often found in barrows or near tombs. The unholy act of devouring a corpse fills the ghoul with great strength, causing its abilites to vastly increase in each of the melee statistics: constitution, strength and dexterity. The eternal curse of the ghoul is that it must continue to feed upon the corpses of others to empower itself because its own undead form is unable to maintain coherence for very long. As the ghoul slowly starves, its abilities gradually decline until they can fall no further and the ghoul is reduced to a shambling wretch of a creature. Ghouls have been known, in their desperate need for nourishment, to latch onto the throats of their allies and suck blood from them. This unnatural act is quite involuntary, but it does strengthen the ghoul a bit, while doing damage to the ally.
Army of Darkness: ghouls serving in an Army of Darkness are more enduring than others of their kind, and will gain more nourishment than usual from whatever gruesome meal they feast upon. This means that their abilities decline at a somewhat lower rate than otherwise.
The ravenous ghoul devours the closest available corpse of another player. The sudden surge in strength launches the ghoul into an insane frenzy. Immediately after consuming the corpse the ghoul's statistics soar to those listed above, but will slowly return to normal.
