The caster of spike opens up extra magical pathways to power his combative spells. While influenced by a magical spike the caster receives a +5 bonus to intelligence and his combat spells will strike within 50% of their maximum damage half of the time. A magical spike lasts for 10 seconds and the caster loses one point of intelligence permanently. Due to the mental strain spike can only be cast once every 20 seconds.
