Warlocks were once a band of powerful warriors known for their incredible skill of martial arts. Their small numbers could not stand up to the waves of invaders that claimed their land, and soon they were reduced to slaves. Though their freedom was taken from them, their pride was never broken. One night a mysterious being walked into their camp and offered them power to overcome their captors. Without hesitation the warlocks accepted. The power came in the form of channeling magical energies and though they initially started out with below average ability, they quickly mastered and exceeded the abilities of other spellcasters. However, the pact they accepted came with a price. For each new spell they gained, their once finely-muscled bodies withered as the magical energies wrecked their constitutions.

After mastering his current spell, a warlock will gain the ability to learn a new one. Upon doing this, the warlock suffers a -1 penalty to his strength, dexterity, accuracy, and constitution--but also experiences a +1 increase in intelligence. Without an argument, learn will display the list of spells that the warlock can add to his spellbook.
